Linear Response draws on TUESDAY WHEN I FOLLOWED 2017. Here the familiar symbol of house/ house is troubled by the image on the far left, evocative of a camera, a distorted figure lightly sketched with. The lifeless dog on the right draws the eye as the only colour in the work, despite this the posture of the animal further unsettles this simplified representation of home. The black lines within this work are made of gaffe tape stretched internally across the windows at Wide Open Road Art. The moving sun ever-present in this public, outdoor location became important to the work as the lines doubled, strengthened, faded, moved throughout the day.
