TUESDAY WHEN I FOLLOWED CASTLEMAINE STATE FESTIVAL 2017

To what extent do we carry our sense of home with us? how bound are we to our domestic space? how deep are our roots? How deep can they be on a county colonised just 231 ago? is it about time spent on soil or an accumulation of transgressive moments?

Tuesday When I Followed saw Helen Mathwin and Susie Elliott build and carry their simplified domestic form through the main streets of Castlemaine to The Mill where they installed the work (with other prebuilt structures) at ‘Harvest’. Footage of the journey accompanied the installation in the custom build stands.
